Teacher

Location: Looe Primary Academy

Closing Date: 12/01/2020

We are currently looking for an M1 teacher to support us with covering a Year 4/5 class and a Year 3/4 class for one day each per week. This position will be fixed term in the first instance, to start as soon as possible.

We are an Ofsted rated ‘good’ school (Jan 2019) with a strong reputation in the community.

We provide good support and interventions for the children in our care and we have a very good reputation for meeting the learning and emotional needs of children with SEN.

The school itself is situated in beautiful grounds with stunning sea views and a love of the outdoors is important to this role as well as a good level of knowledge to support the emotional health and well-being of our children alongside their academic progress. Lunchtime Supervisor

Location: Delaware Primary Academy

Closing Date: 16/12/2019

We are delighted to be able to offer the opportunity to join our friendly team of Lunchtime Supervisors at Delaware Primary Academy.

You will be required to supervise and support positive play for our children alongside the rest of the team.
First Aid training will be provided for this role.

Teaching Assistant and Lunchtime Supervisor

Location: Looe Primary Academy

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Teaching Assistant to join our highly effective and passionate team of staff at Looe Primary Academy. This position is fixed term until July 2020 in the first instance, working 26 hours 55 minutes per week.

The successful candidate will be a versatile, resilient and committed practitioner who can adapt their practice to support across both Key Stages. If you are a caring and dedicated professional with proven practice in a primary setting, we can offer a bright, supportive and 'Good' school (Ofsted 2019) in which to further develop your career within a forward thinking Trust of 14 schools, where outcomes for children are our highest priority.

This post also has the potential to provide lunchtime supervision on a daily basis and to support positive play with the children for 3 hours 10 minutes per week.

Nursery Manager

Location: Looe Primary Academy

Our new Nursery provision opened in September 2019 for children between the ages of 2 - 4 years old. The Nursery is situated within the Early Years provision and enjoys beautiful scenery and plenty of space for the children to enjoy the outdoors as well as good indoor facilities.

We are delighted to be able to offer the exciting opportunity for an experienced practitioner to join our team. We are looking for someone who has the passion and ambition to drive the nursery to the next phase of its development alongside the Early Years Lead.

This position is fixed term until July 2020 in the first instance, working 30.75 hours per week.

Community Governor

Location: Blisland Primary Academy

Blisland Primary Academy is seeking Community Governors to add to the Governing Body to help drive the strategic development and ethos in the school. A community governor can be anybody who lives or works in or around the areas in which the school is located. We are looking for people with a wide range of experience, and candidates do not need to be experts in education. We seek individuals who have drive and energy and are willing to use their skills to support the school and contribute to the educational outcomes of our pupils. Your knowledge of the local community is vital. A key skill for all governors is to be able to question and challenge and work as part of the team of governors and school leaders to identify viable solutions to problems and opportunities.
As part of Bridge Schools Trust support to new governors is provided through an established induction process with ongoing opportunities to develop skills through training and shared best practice.
Local Governing Bodies meet up to 6 times a year and the role involves looking at the data and information provided in the form of a Head of School report and other documentation before the meetings, thus each meeting requires preparation. You will also be expected to visit the school at least once each half-term so you can understand how the policies work in practice and how the data plays out in the classroom. This provides you with knowledge about your school so you can represent this to the stakeholders including Parents/Carers, the Staff and the community.
